DISTRICT COACHING STAFF
The district player programme director is Steve Payne, the HDSA Technical Director.
Payne holds what is considered the highest coaching and managing award in soccer, the European Union of Football Associations Pro-Diploma. He has also successfully completed the FIFA Futuro III Coach Instructors Course.
Payne, recently appointed as a Master Learning Facilitator for the Ontario Soccer Association, is the former TD for the state of Tasmania, Australia. He has also spent considerable time studying and coaching soccer in Brazil.
A senior coach with the Bryst Football Academy for many years, Payne, who played as a teenager for Charlton Athletic, was hired by the Bahamas Football Association last year to run a two-day coaching workshop in Nassau..
District Player programme Head Coach is Mark Cristante, TD for Innisfil Soccer Club. Cristante, a former captain of the semi-pro team, the North York Astros, holds the Provincial B Licence and has successfully completed several coaching courses in the U.S.
Cristante was granted "Associate Professional" Designation by Coach's Of Canada in 2012. Some of his past experience includes former Technical Director of YPSA.
Assistant coach Frank Delisimunovic played eight years for Toronto Croatia and represented the Canadian National Soccer League All Star team in Mexico in 1995.
Frank, who has his Provincial B Licence, is TD for Collingwood United Soccer Club. He is the former Head Coach of Georgian College men’s varsity team.
Assistant coach David Caldwell, who coaches at Barrie Soccer Club, has completed his Provincial B Licence (part one) and the OSA community level courses 1, 2 and 3.
Goalkeeping coach Danielle Zangolli has the Provincial B Licence and OSA goalkeeping coach certificate, plus goalkeeping level 3 from the National Soccer Coaching Association of the U.S. Zangolli coaches at Barrie Soccer Club.
